‘Το Fault in Love’ is a multi-channel video installation composed of fragments of real conversations, images, and sounds collected from social media platforms. Confessions, pauses, delayed replies, awkward silences, and fleeting moments of humor come together to create a world in which personal experience leaves behind a digital trace.
These conversations do not belong to a single individual, nor do they tell one specific story. Instead, they form a collective archive of experiences, where different voices repeat the same desires, insecurities, and disappointments. People who have never met ultimately speak about the same things: expectation, rejection, waiting, and the need to be heard by someone else.
The conversations originate from spaces that have become both ordinary and intimate: messaging applications and social media platforms. Places where communication appears immediate, yet often becomes uncertain. An unanswered message, a read receipt, or a reply that arrives too late can carry greater emotional weight than the words themselves. Waiting becomes part of the relationship.
The viewer moves through the installation without following a linear narrative. Instead, they are immersed in an environment of images, voices, and fragmented dialogues that constantly intersect and overlap. Each conversation feels deeply personal while simultaneously suggesting that it could belong to anyone.
Το Fault in Love does not attempt to explain contemporary love. Rather, it observes how the experience of intimacy has migrated onto screens, and how, in an era of constant connectivity, communication remains fragile.
